立春 First Day of Spring

立春

立春 in english means first day of spring. There are many customs for this day but i am not very familiar with it. The only thing i know about 立春 is that it is the day where eggs can stand.

This year 2009 立春 got 2 versions. One version is on Feb 3, 2009 and the other one is on Feb 4, 2009. Most Chinese calendar says it fall on the Feb 4, 2009 at 0.50am. I follow the majority.

My previous understanding is that eggs can only stand at the specific time but after a few years, i found out that egg can stand on the whole day.
